Introduction
4th May 2004 update
The design is fully tested and working fine.
I have yet to fit it into a tower case front plate as shown in my concept design.
12th April 2003 Update
I had an issue with power supply
noise which I cured with a bigger decoupling capacitor. 2 prototype
PCBs have been made,
One built and corrected. I have re-designed the PCB to reduce power supply transients, I need to get it built one day!
29th August 2002 update
Currently adding the final touches to the prototype PCB design, will post the info here soon.
This is a an active audio mixer circuit.
What do I mean by active?
There is an amplifier in the design and the volume level for both input channels is variable!
The amplifier is reated at 250 mW RMS or 10W PMPO!*
What do you need?
I have the full parts list available here.
The schematic is here
Prototype
The final design has been built and here is a picture of it!
I am looking at adapting the design to fit behind a vacant 5.25 inch drive panel and adding some small (38 mm speakers) into the panel.
*Peak Music Power Output (PMPO) is a bull shit marketing term to make a product look as though it has large power output, when in
reality it does not. I just made the figure up like most manufacturers do!
